Madison – This downtown Madison home renovation was such a fun challenging project. By removing a dividing wall upstairs, we were able to create one large master suite from the original 2 bedrooms. This offers the owners a brighter open tranquil space. The suite includes a master bath with a tiled walk-in shower and a one-of-a-kind barn door medicine cabinet. The closet area is large enough for a washer and dryer.
On the main level, we extended the staircase, moved the bathroom door, and opened up a wall to an office area which created a wide-open space. The main bath features glass tile surrounding the resurfaced claw foot tub. By reworking the wood-burning stove and chimney layout, we were able to open up the kitchen and maintain the welcoming character the stove brings to the space. New cherry cabinets extending to the ceiling offer the owners much-needed storage. Numerous barn doors throughout this charming home give a country feel while being in the heart of the city.
